Cats at The Paddocks is a small garden cattery in Fordingbridge, on the edge of the New Forest offering the highest standard of care for your cats. I understand that leaving your cat in someone else's care while you are away can be worrying. You want someone who will look after them as you would yourself, especially if they are timid, elderly or on medication. I know cats can often be wary of strangers so having one sole carer (me), minimises that stress.
I can provide all those little extras that will help your cat feel safe and content and will speak to you before you arrive to get an understanding of your cat’s personality, likes and dislikes. Being a small cattery means I have the time to give your much loved cat all the attention they need to help them feel relaxed and happy.
About Me
I have had cats all my life and have always loved all animals, domestic and wild, having had numerous pets from hamsters, to rabbits, to ponies and sheep. In 2007 I became a volunteer for my local branch of Cats Protection fostering cats in my home. I quickly moved on to cover all aspects of Cats Protection work including working with feral cats, specialising in pregnancy, hand rearing kittens and caring for cats with complex medical needs. Over the years I have gained a wealth of knowledge in cat behaviour. Even after all this time I am still amazed at how different they all are; each one has their own personality, their own quirks, likes and dislikes, and I find nothing more rewarding than gaining the trust of a nervous cat and getting that first purr.
In addition to this I have four cats of my own – Arthur, Sponge, Wib and MauMau! Having my own cats, I know how important it is to have full confidence in the cattery your pets are to stay in. I invite you to come and meet me and let me show you around the cats’ accommodation before making a booking. I look forward to meeting you and your feline companions.
